Our Specialties
We offer the complete spectrum of modern urological surgery — every procedure performed minimally invasively wherever possible, using the most advanced technology available in the region.
Kidney Stones
Kidney stones are one of the most common urological conditions — and one of the most painful. The good news: with today's technology, almost every stone can be treated without open surgery, with minimal recovery time.
Our department operates a 150W holmium laser — the most powerful available — and offers every modern stone treatment technique under one roof. We select the approach based on stone size, location, and your individual anatomy. You will never be offered a one-size-fits-all solution.
· RIRS (Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery)
A flexible ureteroscope is passed through the natural urinary tract to reach the stone inside the kidney. The holmium laser breaks the stone into fine dust, which passes naturally. No incisions. Ideal for stones up to 2cm.
· PCNL — Standard (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy)
A small puncture through the back allows direct access to large or complex kidney stones. Performed under both X-ray and ultrasound guidance for maximum precision. The gold standard for stones over 2cm.
· Mini PCNL
A minimised version of PCNL using a smaller instrument channel — all the effectiveness of standard PCNL with faster recovery and less trauma. Ideal for medium-sized stones or patients requiring extra care.
· DISS (Direct in Scope Suction)
Direct laser fragmentation of ureteral or kidney stones during ureteroscopy. Highly precise, no radiation exposure.
Prostate Enlargement (BPH)
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) affects the majority of men over 50. Symptoms include weak urine flow, frequent urination — especially at night — and the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying. Left untreated, it can lead to serious complications including urinary retention and kidney damage.
We specialise in HoLEP — Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate — the most advanced and durable surgical treatment for prostate enlargement. Unlike older procedures, HoLEP removes the entire obstructing tissue regardless of prostate size, with lower rates of bleeding, faster recovery, and significantly lower recurrence rates. It is the gold standard recommended by the European Association of Urology (EAU).
· HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate)
Using a 150W holmium laser passed through the urethra, the obstructing prostate tissue is precisely enucleated and removed — no incisions, no blood loss, no size limitation. Patients typically go home within 24–48 hours. Long-term outcomes are superior to TURP and all other minimally invasive alternatives.
HoLEP is suitable for virtually all patients with BPH, including those with very large prostates, patients on blood thinners, and patients who have failed medication. It is also our preferred procedure for patients travelling from abroad due to its safety profile and short hospital stay.
